Topographical maps data on 1992 with a scale of 1/50.000 covering all the
area and its surroundings. It is published by the Royal Geographical Center,
Jordan.

Aerial photographs (black and white) with a scale of 1/33.000 dated on
1994 furnished by the Royal Geographical Center.

GPS, Magellan Nav 5000 DX and Magellan 2000. The coordinates were taken
from the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) which is used on the topographical
maps provided by RJGC. The coordinates took the form of a 7-figure north reading
and a 6-figure east reading. The geometric quality (GQ) was also noted for each
reading. This figure denotes the quality and therefore the accuracy of the
displayed coordinates. Coordinates were only recorded once the maximum GQ of 9
was achieved.

Altimeter (normal) was used to determine the different altitudes within
the protected area in relation with its different vegetation types and habitats.

Compasses were used to mark transects to compare the differences in the
vegetation with the differences of aspect.

Nylon bags 80x50cm size, were used to put the plant specimens in during
collecting.

Pressers used were Swedish design wooden pressers.

Drying paper for the specimens was filter paper and newspaper.
Paper was changed daily for a period of one week.
